Happy Halloween!

During the past two weeks, while preparing for our annual Halloween party, we happened to find a pumpkin pet costume and a devil pet costume at Savers. So we put the devil costume on Jessie (who didn't seem to mind), and the pumpkin one on Duncan and Sera (who were VERY annoyed). To make matters worse we took pictures of them and posted them to Facebook while Rebecca and I pointed and laughed. Needless to say Duncan and Sera plotted revenge. For the past week they have been pulling down tissue paper ghosts, they have been attempting an Indian Jones worthy maneuver at the spiders hanging on the chandelier, they have been using our cardboard coffin as a new scratching post, and they were dragging various pieces of the witch around the house before we put her together. Happy Halloween everyone!

"Apuppy Ohno," Speed Skater!

Back in May, we had our floors redone after what we thought was my guinea pigs, Rosemary, and Olivia's, cage smelling turned out to be a water leak that wrecked my rooms carpet. We decided to get stained concrete. So, after a week we moved back in and we let the pets explore and get used to the floor. Our other cat, Sera, caught on immediately, our greyhound, Lab mix, Jessie, was too happy to see us to notice the difference, Duncan stayed on a suitcase for 5 hours before coming down, and then there was, Martha, our German Shepherd mix. She took one step on the floor and then learned how to ice skate. The hard way. Step, step, SCRAMBLE FOR THE RUG! She's mostly figured out how to walk again but we're still going to buy her grippy socks later this week. We almost had an "Apuppy Ohno".
